Brenda Peters, MA, MEd, SAIF, is a seasoned educational professional with over two decades of experience specializing in structured literacy, learning disabilities, and diagnostic testing. With an initial background in Organizational Development at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a master’s degree from Columbia University, Brenda pivoted to teaching reading, at Rivier University, influenced by her sons’ experiences with dyslexia. Following 10 years as a case manager, she served as director of Children’s Dyslexia Centers training over 100 Structured Literacy practitioners, based on the Orton-Gillingham approach from Level 1 through the Therapist Level. She also served as president of the IDA-NNEA, where she started the popular webinar series READ for Parents. Brenda is the co-founder of ACT Dyslexia Solutions: Assessment, Consultation, and Tutoring where she specializes in diagnostic testing for learning disabilities, like dyslexia, and consultative services for families and schools.
