Dyslexia &Charting for Success: Linking Psychoeducational Assessment and Reading Science with CADS

Has your child’s educational assessment left you feeling lost and bewildered? This session can help to bring clarity to parents, educators, and evaluators as complex assessment results are presented in a visual context via Cognitive, Achievement, and Diagnostic Summary (CADS) Charting presented in this session.

Brenda Peters, MA, MEd, SAIF, is a seasoned educational professional with over two decades of experience specializing in structured literacy, learning disabilities, and diagnostic testing. With an initial background in Organizational Development at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a master’s degree from Columbia University, Brenda pivoted to teaching reading, at Rivier University, influenced by her sons’ experiences with dyslexia. Following 10 years as a case manager, she served as director of Children’s Dyslexia Centers training over 100 Structured Literacy practitioners, based on the Orton-Gillingham approach from Level 1 through the Therapist Level. She also served as president of the IDA-NNEA, where she started the popular webinar series READ for Parents. Brenda is the co-founder of ACT Dyslexia Solutions: Assessment, Consultation, and Tutoring where she specializes in diagnostic testing for learning disabilities, like dyslexia, and consultative services for families and schools.

Rescheduled to February 2025.
